To teach at Taipei American School is an opportunity to work with some great colleagues, and it can be a great country (apart from the weather), but the SMT and SMMT (and some of their partners), especially in the High School at Taipei American School, come across as power-hungry and control freaks....

New initiatives at Taipei American School are forced upon already over-worked staff, at what feels like every month, with no consolidation or proper follow-through: They're only brought in to make the said key-person (who brings in the initiative) feel more important and get a pat on the back from administration....
