I have read the reviews posted for the American School of Durango and would like to comment and interject my experience for the last two years... I have not had the same negative experiences at American School Durango that some of the teachers have had in the past with the school, Director, Principal, or teachers... There are approximately 35-44 students in each grade level (grades 1 - 6) at American School Durango... Teachers in American School Durango are supportive and kind. Although there is... American School Durango is a great place to learn Spanish since no one outside the school speaks English... Administration in American School Durango really wants your experience in Durango to be a positive one and tries to make foreign hires comfortable... Much has been written about Directors at American School Durango... However, during my time at American School Durango, I have been able to teach and conduct my classroom in the way that I think best suits my students (i.e. a student centered approach) and, therefore, I am not all that concerned about... As far as parents go ... well the parents at American School Durango are great and not so great... |
