Comments: Tianjin
is a growing city with a happy and helpful local population.
There are many opportunities to meet locals, from ayee's
(local maids) to drivers and other local business people....
There
are some clubs, many Starbucks (some argue this is not
a positive!) and countless
restaurants. The food is great and living is mostly cheap, unless
you are constantly craving chocolate....
The
pollution is improving, mostly
thanks to the Olympics -- Tianjin is downwind and downstream
from Beijing, and has many sports happening. Lots of construction
going on everywhere,
so dust is a bit of a problem....
TEDA, the International School of Tianjin, has
a few problems, mostly due to the mix of a board with little
understanding of education -- hey are all from the business
community and think that
running a school is just like running a manufacturing business....
With
a director at the
International School of Tianjin completely
out of touch with....
