The cost of living is much higher than you are led to believe at interview with Taipei European School. 

Taipei European School is an opportunity to work with some great colleagues, and it can be a great country (apart from the weather), but the SMT and SMMT (and some of their partners), especially in the High School, come across as power-hungry and control freaks...

New initiatives are forced upon already over-worked staff at Taipei European School, at what feels like every month, with no consolidation or proper follow-through: they're only brought in to make the said key-person who brings in the initiative feel more...

Taipei is very safe. Taipei European School has 2 campuses- primary is central and close to the MRT. Secondary is up a mountain so travel can be an issue... 

Leadership teams are very separate and the CEO of Taipei European School is universally and openly disliked even by his own managers... 

Flight allowances are given in cash at Taipei European School which is a positive...

Housing allowance for Taipei European School is not great...
