democratic.
The Principal
of the College, the
division where almost all foreign hires work, serves
as 'primus inter pares', as opposed to 'imperator', and cannot
make boarding school policy without the consent of the
majority of the 'Haustutoren Konferenz' or resident staff
council....
Neither
can boarding-school policy be altered significantly without
the consent of a majority in the
student parliament at Salem International College....
