The student body of Port Moresby International School comprises more than 20 different nationalities with the large majority being PNG nationals... Port Moresby International School has a long tradition in PNG and was once predominantly expat students, however the recent economic climate has changed and the number of working expats has declined... While the Port Moresby International School is showing its age, resources are very good... Staff at Port Moresby International School are allocated a laptop computer to use while employed at the school and there are ample network outlets throughout the staff rooms... The town of Port Moresby is by no means a tropical paradise, but there are wonderful and welcoming people here... The housing provided is within the Port Moresby International School compound. This comprises approx 45 houses and two schools POMIS (high school) and the Boroko East (infants) school, 2-3 ovals, tennis courts, basket ball courts. The compound is very safe. All teachers housing is air conditioned and the bulk of the school (all staff rooms)...
