Comments: Antananarivo
is a filthy, crowded third-world city. Very little English
is spoken outside the school so learn some French or
some Malagasy....
There
are great restaurants, lots of music, fabulous local crafts,
but no parks, no sidewalks at American
School of Antananarivo.
It is not a kid-friendly city at all. The old buildings were
beautiful in their day, but
are now....
The American
School of Antananarivo is
a small, friendly school with mostly dedicated teachers who
love kids. The facility is okay, but growth has pushed it way
beyond its capacity. Up thru grade 5, the classrooms are decent,
but for middle school/high school the space is totally inadequate
in terms of space and resources at American
School of Antananarivo....
The
school has been trying to move to a new campus for years, but
the paperwork to accomplish
this in Madagascar seems overwhelming. Saving money for....
