As a teacher at Le Rosey in the 80's and 90's, and still corresponding with current teachers, I was witness to atrocities and violent crimes in Le Rosey, which is more of a social club for the children of Russian billionaires... While at Le Rosey I witnessed a variety of student activities that should have landed these kids in jail, but Le Rosey worked to keep these kids beyond the reach of the law and out of the newspapers... Le Rosey is definitely a unique school. Some teachers have found their niche and have spent their entire career there. It tends to be a good place for young families as all teachers who live in boarding obviously have free housing, no bills and excellent food. The school will even house au pairs for staff with young children... The student body of Le Rosey is made up of a good mix of nationalities. Since the writing of the first post Le Rosey has instituted a policy of having no more then 10% of the student population from any one nationality... Your teaching load at Le Rosey is good if you live on campus. Teachers who live externally teach one extra class but do not have boarding duties... Overall, Le Rosey was a good place to work with lots of unique perks that you will not find anywhere else in the world... |
