The students at American International School of Jeddah tend to be predominantly Arabic in character and Muslim in religion. Overall students are moderately academically motivated. A large number of them have lived in Saudi Arabia their entire lives. The school functions as a haven for the kids in a sea of abnormality....

At the high school students are “policed” in order to limit the “normal peer group contact” that might go on in a high school. Being that the bulk of the students are bused in, they tend to leave right after school.
