Comments: Where
do I begin? This was my first experience teaching in an international
school, I have been working at International
School of Triest,
Italy for the past year. However, I am from the United States
(New York) and have had
five year of previous teaching experience. Unfortunately, it
did not turn out as expected.
International
School of Triest turned
out to be a private Italian school with a few international students
in attendence. The area is beautiful and easy to get around.

I
was the fifth grade teacher for the year. Orientation week at International School of Triest was hectic at best (that is to be expected). What I did not
expect was lack of resources, among them a solid curriculum
map that did not align to specific standards (that is a given
in any school)!
I
worked with a rough sketch of what was done the previous year
at
International School of Triest and
tried to pull things together (I think I did a good job with
what I had). I was also at a loss for
simple curriculum material (textbooks, etc).
I
am not a teacher who relies heavily on....
