Most of the teachers are young and energetic at American Montessori School. Small class sizes and a generally hands-off approach to the classroom by the administration make for a comfortable teaching environment. Hands-off does not mean anything goes, however. We do have a well mapped curriculum to follow, just with lots of room for personal flair.

American Montessori School is currently working towards WASC certification, which is expected to be completed within the next 2 years. I would like to note that we (teachers) have never been asked to change a grade, nor have transcripts been altered (that I know of, and we do have continual access to them), in spite of the normal wealthy-parent pressure on the administration at American Montessori School to....
