Comments: Gyeonggi
Suwon International School is
still a small school still struggling to find its identity and
place amongst other international schools in Korea. A lot of
this has to do with the fact that the bulk of the students are
ethnically Korean and many with limited English skills. The ESOL
programmes are good at Gyeonggi
Suwon International School,
but have their work cut out for them.
The
facilities are new and the Korean staff are very helpful. It
still
has a small staff, which at times can be a bit....
Suwon
is a city south of Seoul (45 minutes by train). If you want
inner city living, Suwon is not for you. It is a nice place with
shops, restaurants and most things you need but it is better
for families than singles. Saying that though, it is difficult
for
staff children above Elementary age at Gyeonggi
Suwon International School as
they can be,and have been, ostracized by the student body as
not ethnically Korean....
