The problem with Guamani Private School is with the administration... There's also a lack of support at Guamani Private School for new teachers, as well as a lack of accountability... There's a disconnect between the Guamani Private School's "paperless" initiative and the resources available... As far as technology at Guamani Private School, each classroom does have a computer and a projector, and 2 classrooms (one math, one science, both used by local hires) have smart boards... There is no classroom budget at Guamani Private School; teachers bring all their own supplies, from pencils to paper clips and everything in between. There is likewise no professional development offered throughout the year... The salary for teachers at Guamani Private School is adequate to live, since housing is provided, but you won't save much, if anything. Speaking of housing... Guayama, where Guamani Private School is located, as a town is pretty boring. The restaurants available are the chains you'd find in the states. The night life can be found if you look for it, but... For me, Guamani Private School was a starter school--a place to gain 2 years of experience and move on. I did enjoy my time here, though I realize I've said a lot of negative things... |
