Comments: The majority of staff are Mexican and speak little to no English at Escuela Sierra Nevada. English speaking teachers are only hired for the English department which is run by an American teacher who received his qualifications in Mexico and has only just embarked on a Master's program in Education. The rest of the English department is usually one foreign-hired English speaking teacher, and the other 4 are Mexican staff (whose English speaking and teaching ability varies) at Escuela Sierra Nevada.
