Teachers simply bought things with their own money, and feared the administration too much to argue against this practice. Teachers at Excellence Loyalty Commitment School received low salaries compared to other comparable international schools in the area, and the cost of living was much higher than I was told before arriving. Health insurance was not adequate--it only covered hospitalizations.
