The previous reviewer advises that you come to Dhahran Ahliyya Schools for the money, not for the experience. I would argue... Secondary teachers who give below a B- at Dhahran Ahliyya Schools are put through the meat grinder by parents and administrators... Cheating and severe behavior issues are common and largely unaddressed at Dhahran Ahliyya Schools... The four weeks of mandatory “training” consist of administrators reading through PowerPoints pulled from the internet, bizarre teambuilding activities, mindless copying and pasting of standards into unit plans, and occasional group recitations of the mission statement. You will not grow professionally while working at Dhahran Ahliyya Schools... To be clear, though Dhahran Ahliyya Schools students are at least 50% children of ARAMCO employees, DAS teachers do not have access to... Though Dhahran Ahliyya Schools administrators glom on to “life in Saudi” as the reason for their runners/staff who don’t return after their first year/ inability to consistently retain Western staff past their two year contract, they are kidding themselves... Working at Dhahran Ahliyya Schools is professionally demoralizing... I am wondering how to revive my career after a stint at Dhahran Ahliyya Schools... |
