In my first month at International School of Dakar, Senegal itself was the most challenging. The florescent green sewage that fills streets in the poor neighborhoods outlying Dakar, and the barefoot Talibets children, who line the corners and streets with begging tin cans, were enough to set me to tears when I returned to my apartment after work.
