Creative Children International School

International School Evaluation
Comments: Creative Children International School (CCIS) is a small, private school for student's with special needs, including mild to severe learning disabilities, and some mild behavioural problems. Students range in age from KG-Grade 5. Most of them are Kuwaiti. Every class has less than 12 students, and each class also has an educational assistant. CCIS is located in Hawally, in Kuwait. The school is only 2 years old, so it is progressing and changing all of the time. It follows an American curriculum, and it is well-stocked with very good resources and materials.

The staff at the school are primarily Arabic, although it is said that there will be more Western teachers joining next year. Most of the staff are friendly, although there are some definite language barriors which can be difficult. All classes are supposed to be taught in English --as this is technically an American School--but it is not always the case because some of the students speak very little English.

For Western teachers, working and living in Kuwait can be a huge culture shock read more about Creative Children International School Kuwait in International Schools Review.
