Comments: I have only worked for three other directors, but Bob Hetzel has to be one of the most faculty-friendly directors in the world. He is also very good at giving everyone at American Embassy School New Dehli a say in how the school runs. He listens, gets a lot of input on important topics and finds a consensus. American Embassy School New Dehli has a great package and 30-some apartments on a gorgeous campus...cozy, but well maintained for New Delhi (and about a dozen nice ones off-campus). Not the best air quality, but improved from 90's, and a great place to raise young kids....

American Embassy School New Dehli is about 1,400 students and it's hard to get to know faculty well if they don't teach at your level. The director of American Embassy School New Dehli tries to have all staff gatherings and those are well attended but still many people don't know each other. There are far more positives than negatives but if I had to list the downside of living here, the poor air quality and incredible pace and intensity of American Embassy School New Dehli.
