Khan Academy is owned and managed (though not directly managed)
by His Highness The Aga Khan - the spiritual leader of the Ismaili
community (Subsection of the Muslim community). The Ismaili has
about 20 million followers in the world.
Aga Khan Academy Academy is a relatively new school and as happens
with new institutions, much remains to be done in terms of putting
working systems in place.
There are issues about teachers’ terms and benefits, working
hours, job descriptions etc - though much has changed
positively in the last 2 years that I have been in the school (2004
-2006).
