Search Sydney Job Fair

Post by vincentchase »

We were thinking of giving the next Search Sydney Fair a go, but it's no longer listed as a fair. Does anyone have any knowledge that the Sydney leg has been canned for 2013?

No, they havent decided on the specifics of the Australia fair, including dates and the possibility of hosting it in Melbourne next year. For a fair to be successful the smaller fairs need a sufficient school commitment, with the early fairs to make them beneficial to candidates and recruiters.

Would they still hold the fair if only 3 schools registered, but other 37 non-registerer schools hung out in the lobby poaching canidates for jobs that don't exist?

The Australia/New Zealand Fair next year will be held from January 3-6 and will be at the Langham Hotel in Melbourne. We would expect between 45- 50 schools to attend. Information will be posted very soon on the Search Website, but if you have any questions in advance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Doubt it

I doubt they would hold it if only 3 schools attended. You dont see 37 schools recruiting on the side, more like a handful. 2-4 at the small fairs, 6-8 at the large fairs.
