International School in Genoa

Post by NicoleMarieSchreiber »

Has anyone worked here before? I am interested in this school but I would like to know about the school environment and the city itself. I have lived in Florence before, so I know about cost of living issues in Italy.

Thank you!

I believe the new head (this year) has a good reputation. Genoa is a great little city - none of the madness of Rome or Milan. It's location means you can get to the Italian Riviera by short train rides. If it weren't for the money, it would be high on my list of places to go!

Love the area, if you want a more traditional quit life, Genoa is one of the places to be. If your looking for a cosmopolitan city, and place Genoa would be boring very quickly.

How is the student body? I saw on the Search site that it is mostly Italian students. How are behavior issues and so forth in the primary grades? How are the parents? Actively involved?

Is Genoa also particularly family-friendly? I know all of Italy loves children.

Thanks!

Sorry, only know of the director and that region of Italy. I don't know any particulars about the school or its student body.
