GEMS Metropole School Motor City Dubai

Any information anyone has on this soon-to-open school and/or the area would be greatly appreciated.

Motor City is a well developed, somewhat newer area of Dubai, consisting of large apartment complexes which are fairly nice, lots of little shops and restaurants on the ground floor of the buildings on the main street going through. Adjoining it are other developments, some with large independent villas around a golf course and others with high rises. Motor City buildings are not high rises - maybe 4 or 5 stories.
The school will be a new one, but Gems is a fairly well oiled machine here in Dubai, so it will grow fast. Their schools have fans and critics, but they are legitimate, so no worries there. Just a bit corporate and rigid, is all.
It's about a 15 minute drive to the beach on weekend mornings from there - also same to Mall of the Emirates. In the other direction about 10-15 minutes is a parking area to leave the car, unload the bikes, and cycle. The path is something like 20 kilometers or more. There are lots of families in Motor City, and grassy areas and pools in various spots. The American School of Dubai houses some of their teachers there, they bought something like 35 apartments there when the crash hit and are happy now, as those prices are going up fast.
Many people find Dubai is an easy city to live in and can find plenty to do and get involved in if they want. It's a city centered around money, but maybe all cities are. A very real drawback is summer, which you'd presumably miss most of. The temperatures just got unbearable last week, and will continue that way until October. Winter is quite lovely, though.
