Yes, tape is a sticky problem!
BTW, in addition to using the red containers we also use LLBEAN large duffle bags which we have had for years... they are now ugly, beat up and dirty, but they still have working handles and wheels. They do not stand up like some other duffles do. :(
The duffles hold a lot, and the red containers are good when packing plastic or liquid or more fragile items.
Wishing everyone the best on their moves...we are flying out in two days!!!

I have received 3 emails in the past week asking me to open my application to stateside/Puerto Rico.
Of course, hubby and I are under contract to an IS school starting in two weeks...
Years ago we were offered jobs (2) over the phone (twice) and declined as we were under contracts internationally.
Don't know if this helps.

Armed Guards
Every school we have worked at has had armed guards at the school and provided them at our home. Our next school will as well...just sayin'...
We taught in KSA and would jump at the chance to work at Aramco.
All the best on your search!

Shipping a large dog
We shipped a large 108 pound guard dog to KSA 12 years ago. All went smoothly. The cost was around $1000.00. The dog needed a birth certificate, BTW.
Three years ago we shipped same dog to the US from Asia. Many problems starting with no crate that really complied with regulations. We bought the biggest crate we could find and hoped he wouldn't stand up in customs. Cost $2000.00, and the dog did not travel the same route as we did. Arrangements took months. What a worry!
Shipping is certainly easier if you live on the coast.
On the positive side, we have had many friends that have shipped dogs with fewer problems and hassles and less cost. (Over 100 pounds may be the issue.)
We had full-time help in order to dog-sit on school vacations and for the summer.
Good luck on your search!

Cd DVD
What exactly do people show in their DVD?
I teach Special Ed. and even in college classes that wanted video of students being assesed I opted out for my students and was given a pass.
This could become a creative project for me....
Thanks for any ideas....

Hi,
Right in some cases.
In my experience though, foreign BA and BS degree credits fell short in the credit count. Therefore, more classes had to be taken to be awarded an American BA or BS equivalent.
Credits were awarded and applied to new U.S. college programs.
Foreign BA degrees were eqivalent to an Associates Degree and Masters were equivalent to a Bachelors.

Hi,
All the best on your journey...
Perhaps have your husband's credentials evaluated:
World Education Services, Inc.
P.O. Box 5087
Bowling Green Station
New York, NY 10274-5087
Telephone: (212) 966-6311
Toll Free at 1-800-937-3895
Website: www.wes.org
There are other services as well. Then you will know where you stand on the credits needed to an American degree. I have helped a few of my (local) classroom assistants complete degrees... easier than you might think...

Foreign transcripts can be converted to English and credits can be certified or found lacking compared to American degrees. Then you would know what needs to be done for American certification - maybe less than you think.
