@Thames Pirates claims are absolute bunk. 6 years three contracts is average/typical, some do it in more and some do it in less, and some never get there, no where did I claim that it describes everyone. There is absolutely a standard, a typical and an average, the only fraud is @Thames Pirates claims they they are right because their @Thames Pirate and they say so, who doesnt seem understand how statistics works.

None of those are true, there are a number of ITs on the circuit who are around 10 ISs, they dont have issues finding ISs that they want.
Leadership is happy to keep you when the reference letter states they are, there is nothing magical about staying third year as some kind of code between recruiters. You can just as easily make a positive impact in two years as you can three years.

There is no benefit to staying longer than your contract if you have a positive reference, its just fear mongering by lower tier recruiters and leadership who want to slow their attrition rate, and recognize higher value for their costs.

3-7 years is absolute nutter talk.
