If Heliotrope and Thames Pirate don't respond to every petty thing PG has to say, we'd have more substance and less BS on this forum. I will never put my kids in any of these folks classes.

You are right.
Often I find it hard to resist to correct @PsyGuy. Initially I do it so others who read the topic won't be misinformed by what he says, but that's only an excuse for the first two or three replies. Anything after that is indeed clutter and me being competitive.
I will try to refrain from commenting so much myself in the future.

i mean, it's worth it to point out for readers, i.e. that it's their opinion, but as you say it can get cluttery.

I agree, but it's good that Heliotrope, Thames Pirate and others point out when PG misinforms the readership.
After a few replies it spirals out of control though, and it might be wise to stop giving PG what he wants, which is attention.
I think it's likely that PG plays dumb on purpose, and makes arguments so full of holes that it's impossible for some not to point them out. I engage too often as well, but at some point I just assume people will see how wrong PG is and I stop feeding the troll.

Thanks for your input, Wander and IntlEducator. I think that's a fair point, considering I would be quite limited in where I could go/what I could do to enjoy the culture given the current circumstances. Since your feedback I have looked into schools in Peru, and even Colombia, and you're absolutely right. Thanks!

I also think Heliotrope makes a valid point about the current cost of living. I have indeed heard from a reliable source who has recently worked there that the cost of living has increased fairly dramatically since most Venezuelans are using USD more and more.

All good things to consider.

Its not a misconception, you cant save coin you dont make and coin in the LCSA region is very low. Saving 50% of a grape is not the same as saving 10% of a watermelon. Banking 50% of a USD$18K-$20K salary is nothing to brag about.
