Understand market is going from the UAE.
But with over 18 years experience and 15+ years international experience. What is a nice salary in UAE. Of course the standard of flights yearly, free accomidation, free education, visa and health insurance is must. Focus is for me and my family would be to save.
People currently living their would be helpful.

Six figures, but youre going to find a lot of salary caps at the 5 and 10 year points

Once you hit 6 figures does it really make a difference if its $, €, or £? Theyre trading at 1, .9, and .8 respectively, but okay dollars.

Good luck finding that. Unrealistic expectations!

Well 6 figures would be nice, but realistically USD$55K/yr is reasonable.

Six figures? No way. Half of that is closer to the actual number.

@Heliotrope
The LW asked what a "nice salary" would be, I stated 6 figures would be nice, is it your position that 6 figures would not be nice?

Gentleman, accurate information please hence why I asked from people that are living there. I value your opinions, but at times it then becomes along winded back and forth. Just accurate honest information, please.

I know three ITs that had similar experience (10+ years in IE) when they went to the UAE, and they've started at 40K, 55K, and 45K. Not 100% sure about the 45K number, but it's close to it.

Okay well seriously then at tier 1 and 18 years with a Masters, if you get credit for all steps would put you at about USD$75K/yr.
Housing is another USD$20K/yr for family accommodations, tuition waiver is USD$10K/child youre going to get 1 at least. Another USD$6K/yr for relocation thats about USD$111K/yr total, but thats comp.
You cant actually get that and youre going to find that with a Masters at the cap is USD$65K/yr but with all the same OSH benefits your still looking at USD$101K/yr which is still 6 figures but thats comp not salary and thats tier 1 which for an IT in the ME with 15 years in IE is reasonable.

The average salary at the UAE schools listed on Search with 8 years experience and a MA is (1440,000/30=) 48,000 USD. With your experience you might come in a bit higher than that at some schools, but definitely not at all, as most will have a cap as to where you can enter on the salary scale. You will probably aim for the better schools, so if you get into those you will start higher than this average. The highest salary I found was 60,000 USD, the lowest 37,000.
Just so you get a sense of the range, the salaries I found were (x1,000 USD):
60, 45, 45, 52, 53, 57, 40, 41, 48, 43, 60, 56, 37, 38, 48, 48, 48, 49, 49, 47, 45, 45, 48, 50, 45, 53, 52, 39, 54, 45
