Search & CIS questions

Hi everyone!

Does anyone here know whether Search and CIS typically do a joint London fair? CIS does not have their calendar of fairs up yet and I can't tell the exact dates those fairs have taken place in the past. The issue I'm having is that the Search fair start date falls right after a school holiday and my current school does not allow us to take days like that off, so I'm hoping the CIS one will be scheduled differently.

Also, if my goal is Europe, would you recommend that I set up profiles with both Search and CIS, or is there so much overlap that paying for both isn't worth it?

I really appreciate any input, thank you!

The LON fair is one of the historical mega-fairs with CIS and SA, they are usually timed such that one fair ends as the other one starts. if you have problems with sceduling the SA fair, your likely going to have the same problem with the CIS fair, as its going to be so close together you have the same restrictions.
It isnt a "joint" fair though, they are entirely separate events that just have the benefit (mainly for recruiters) of timing and proximity.

There is overlap between them, but they generally have very different portfolios. SA serves more the 'international' community and CIS serves more the independent/private DS community. CIS is more for Europeans moving around Europe.
CIS used to be free but had a similar registration experience as SA. Now they cost as much as SA does. Whether its worth it or not depends who you are. If your a Brit and youre goal is to hop borders and move from a maintained DS to a independent DS than CIS is the better option. If youre US/CAN/AUS and looking to move into an IS than SA is the better option.
