Any chance for quality now?

Where, if at all, could one find quality postings at quality schools with start dates of August 2016? I know where jobs are posted, what I am asking is where do I have the best shot of actually having the chance to review and apply for quality jobs at quality schools and not simply the rubbish positions/schools that are so omnipresent this time of year on most job boards. I know occasionally people quit late at good places...

I think you'd keep checking the sites, but even really good schools, if they are faced with a sudden absence after school has started (as many of them would have by August) use word of mouth to find good candidates. They may go through a strong vetting process to make sure they have a strong candidate, but they will be looking to move quickly, and connections are a good way for them start.

If you have any connections with people at schools, use them and let them know you're available and that you can come and start very quickly if someone is needed.

Good luck!

I got my job in May of last year. I'm at a school that would be considered tier one or maybe high tier two. Not sure. I'm happy.

I did, however, check listings compulsively so I applied right away and I think schools in those situations just want to snatch up whatever's available so being fast is better than anything else!

Good luck!!!

Sorry, there is no magic location or site that collects only the "quality" IS vacancies while weeding out the undesirable ones. The best strategy is the ISs own HR web site, especially if you are focused on a particular region.
