Are there plans to reestablish the PM function? If not, then can members add a contact email to their accounts?

I doubt that PM functions will be enabled anytime soon. However, you can include an email address under your profile where the option of adding a "Jabber" account is available. This will display an icon with your posts and in your profile. When its clicked on an error page will display your email address. Alternatively you can click on their name and looking at their profile you can view the email address. Another option is to include your email address under the "interests" section of your profile, you can then direct another poster to view your profile without exposing your email publicly.

The powers that be may surprise us but I too wouldn't expect it anytime soon (still have not heard any credible reason why). The last time I started a thread about it I made the naughty list. But I'm not complaining. I love it here! :D
