More questions from a newbie

I have applied for a job with the JET Program. The interview is in February. I won't find out if I've been hired until April. I hate to jinx myself, but I would like to have something to fall back on in case I don't get the job.
Should I try to look for a job in the spring/summer? I'm single and don't have any dependents, so I thought that this would help me.

Neveah-

good luck getting a job. I'm actually in a similar position, I decided to get into this process after all the deadlines for ISS, and while I'm registered for TIEonline (which you should check out, for the price it's good to know what's out there) and have one realistic possibility. I don't want to jinx myself.

For others out there, after ISS fairs are done, how is the hiring situation? I didn't see that they're going to do a summer fair, does anybody know if they are? Is it usually worth applying for, or once the fairs are done is it better to just keep with TIE?

Good luck Neveah, I'm in a similar position to you.
