My wife and I are applying for jobs at an international school in East Africa (International School of Tanganyika).

Does anyone know what kind of salaries are offered at international schools in Tanzania, East AFrica or Africa in general?

Does anyone have any personal or professional knowledge of the International School of Tanganyika?

Usually salaries in Western and Southern Africa can seem great with very nice savings potential. However, living a western lifestyle in Africa is VERY expensive. Food and basic suplies can eat in to your savings. Also- you have to fly almost everywhere in and around Africa because of distance or security. Airline tickets are extremely expensive and will curtail your travel and savings.
