What do you know about the nuclear disaster in Fukushima? Would you take a job in Tokyo? So much conflicting information on this topic. Is it fear mongering or a real heath issue? Has anyone left Japan because of this? Is it safe for children/families?
I know I may be opening a can of worms here, but no one has addressed the elephant in the room.
Post Fukushima Japan - Would you go?
Japan did suffer a major nuclear accident and it is still not fully under control. Every day there is another news article about water leaks from the storage tanks in Fukushima.
Tokyo is overdue for a large earthquake, as are other parts of Japan.
If this is the kind of thing that really worries you, then Japan is probably not the best place for you.
If you have options in other countries that are "safer", then it might be better to pursue those options, especially if you have a family.
In terms of radiation, the levels in Tokyo are probably quite safe. It just depends if you can accept the risk of moving to a country that has a history of large destructive earthquakes.
