Are most international school salaries spread out to cover summer months like they are in the states? Just curious.

In the good schools they are.
The other thing to check when you get an offer is the housing allowance, some of the lower tier schools will not pay the whole sommer and expect you to move out over the summer.

This depends on the contract and in the more shady schools you may have to look in a policy handbook or other document to determine if "year" means 10 months, 11 months or 12 months.
In lower tier schools not only is your housing provided only during the school term (excluding summer) but some schools will have a national required bonus payable after one year, and in such cases the school contract is only for 10 or 11 months so the school doesn't have to pay you the bonus (at the least in the first year).
