I've read some other posts on this topic, but I'm still a bit confused. When I email a school on Search, what do they actually receive? Does it link to my profile? Do we need to send a separate email for my husband? Is there some way to send the recruiters to his profile from my email (for example, giving his full name or some sort of ID number)?

I've been afraid to send out emails 'cause I don't want to look like a dummy. :)

Although it worked rather erratically when I was job-hunting in 2011, Search will send you a copy of what gets sent to the school; I still have an example:

"Please Note:

A reminder that a complete file, including application, evaluations, and
photo for this candidate is available on the Search Associates website.

Candidate Name: XXX

Email Address: XXX
Teaching Fields:
XXX"

followed by the introductory blurb that you write.

In that intro, you could mention that you're a teaching couple, but your husband should certainly send his own app.
