It appears my wife and I will be accepting offers from QSI. We are looking for feedback on specific schools, countries, anything.
Thanks
Tell me about working for QSI.

I don't mean to be trite but their info sessions at the Search Fairs are total yawners. Their rep has what is quite possibly the worst comb-over I have ever seen. Totally bizarre.
They really sell themselves on being able to move between various QSI schools, but if you're a good teacher you can move between any schools so their point is.....?

I personally would never go to Kiev because I will never set foot in a former Soviet Socialist Republic again. I learned my lesson by living in a Central Asian SSR for 2 years. Can't stand the soviet and/or Russian mentality. Some people don't mind it but I just think life is too short and there are way too many cool places in the world to waste time in crappy locales.
Not sure about the location of housing in Kiev but i've heard it is usually pretty nice and that many families get houses but they tend to be a little ways from the school. Every school i've heard of and been to and have friends at provides housing but will allow you to find other housing with their help after the first school year. However, I've never heard of someone showing up and then finding housing. QSI just finds you a place and you are basically stuck there your first year. Some places are amazing and some are crapholes. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to who gets the nice places. For example, at my first location, a chemistry teacher/admin with 15 years experience, a working spouse and one child got a craphole and a newbie elementary teacher got the swankiest place of all the teachers at the school. It is a crapshoot.
