Hello Krdking!
I wrote like a summary of my resume, short sentences... (the recruiters have so much to read), basically the highlights!
Plus a couple of lines on my philosophy of education and a couple of details, like the other things I could teach (got the skills but not the degree for it)

I guess the biography is there to make the recruiters want to download and read the whole resume!

I just used it to supplement the stuff on my resume and bring up other things that I thought might get me noticed. For example, I was a career changer and my previous (non-teaching) job experience and educational background is generally viewed favorably by recruiters. I also stated and explained why I wanted to teach abroad.

Not sure how many schools read it, but I did end up getting hired at a Search fair.
