Hello,

Does anyone know of an international school who would be interested in trialling and helping to develop a new 'cloud' VLE ?

Please post or e-mail : pneild@hotmail.com

Many thanks.

I checked out the web site. This seems to be a lot like Moodle. What makes it different?

Hi Mathgym,

Many thanks for your contact.

As a previous Moodle user, the project was borne out of frustration with Moodle.

Why you should eCikgu (itchy goo) :

- Written by a teacher using teacher-friendly language so it is very easy to use.
- It is written in Python meaning it is very quick - no delay after saving - in fact, many features save as you type.
- No technical knowledge is required to install or maintain either the teacher or school version.
- Individual teachers can unlink their own accounts from the school account when they leave. This provides them with a high level of motivation to use the eCikgu school system while the school retains a copy of the resources.
- eCikgu has a wide range of functions installed as standard with no need for additional plugins. It is 'The online briefcase for teachers".
- Setting up an account takes minutes.
- eCikgu school is seeking a forward looking partner school to develop the software.
- eCikgu is a small yet highly motivated organisation which can therefore tailor the school system specifically to your requirements.

I hope that this answers your questions. If not, please let me know.
