i was pretty close with my last director and he talked to me about teachers using qr codes to their online portfolios and videos of them teaching, doing creative stuff with their CV and resume. his is only one opinion but he had instructions for the HR to flag any that had interesting and creative things in them so he could review them. there weren't many but for certain teachers, it can be a huge plus....art teachers, PE, ICT - there were all examples from these areas that had "strange" CVs.

the director before that was a nutter, loved only teachers from the UK, and hated anything PYP, though we were a "pyp school."

anyways, there are varying opinions on it. whether this particular HR person responsible for the appplicant emails actually did what he asked is another thing....the director got those emails sent to his inbox anyways ;)
