DOD stands for Department of Defense. They run their own schools on their bases around the world. It is a different experience than working at an independent, private school in a foreign country.

DOD stands for the Dept. of Defense, and they are schools for the dependents of the men & women posted overseas. You can do a search of DODEA and apply online. The jobs are very hard to come by. I have interviewed with them, but have come to the conclusion that you need to know someone to get a job with them. Also, you must keep in mind that you will be teaching American children. I have taught overseas before and for me, the best part was getting to know the children from different countries.
