I have a question about a school profile...
Where can I go to get the most current info. on a school's
compensation package without being a member of Search ?

Well...
Aside from basically making nice with someone who is a member of search the reality is that the only reason search has that information is because schools need to recruit and need an agency like search to do it for them, and Search requires that information. The relationship is mutual cooperation. There is no central database of an organization that just "collects" that data and even if there was there would be little incentive for a school to keep it updated.
That said a few (very few) schools post there compensation package on their website. There are a few other ways but they would involve a lot of work and wouldnt be nearly as complete or easily accessible.
Basically theres a reason Search (and ISS, etc) can charge for there service and thats because their information isnt readily available elsewhere. I've known friends at school/college/university who went in together and shared one profile, just to get access to the database.
