Ecole Mondiale Mumbai and International School Amsterdam

Post by wherenext »

Hello,

If you taught in those schools or have some info about them, I'd love to hear from you. While I'm here, same request for Bavarian International School!

Good luck to all!

Ecole Mondiale

I may have posted this here before. The only contact I had with Ecole Mondiale was IB training that EMWS hosted a few years ago. I was there about a week. Most of the teachers I met from that school were Indian, and they were VERY focused on improving their students' education. The teachers with whom I spoke were professionals who would probably not allow standards to slip around them. At least, that was my impression. For what it's worth...

As for the facilities, I believe there is a rooftop swimming pool but I did not see it myself. The buildings are in good repair. They are several stories high and you have to walk up. The restrooms smelled a bit off. The cafeteria was nice, clean. The raft of employees and volunteers who were showing us around were invariably polite. The campus is located within a guarded wall. The guards made sure anyone who entered had a badge, that they were supposed to be there.

Mumbai has the worst air quality of any city I have spent more than a day visiting--including Cairo, Beijing, Delhi. I stood on the beach-ON the beach-and could not smell the ocean. It's very warm--always great in my world!

My overall impression was definitely not negative. I do not know if this helps any at all, but it's about all the information I myself have. Anyone else?

Hi
I am an educational expert who is on the mission to improve education facilities in India. I strongly believe that the recent introduction of international schools in India which follow a highly recognized international teaching pattern are the best options you could give your child.

The schools which are mentioned also follow an international teaching pattern. However, these schools follow a stringent international teaching pattern which leaves very less scope for your child to achieve all round development.

Highly acclaimed international schools like these at times tend to concentrate solely on academic achievement which however, is not the case with Ascend International School located in Mumbai. At AIS, the emphasis is laid on critical thinking skills and all round development of your child as well as academic excellence. With state of the art facilities, highly qualified faculty and staff, innovative individualized programs, experienced leadership and a progressive education model, AIS is a truly international school.
