Teaching/Living in Israel
Teaching/Living in Israel
I will be interviewing with Walworth Barbour American Intl School later this week and I was wondering if anyone had any feedback about the school or living in Israel. This would be my first time teaching overseas, if offered a contract.
I will be at UNI. I was actually first contacted by the school to see if I would be interested in working there. I never really considered Israel before, as I've always assumed it was a dangerous place to live, but the more I've researched the school and the country, the more interested I've become in it, so I went ahead and agreed to an interview at the fair.
I feel like I might be in an "in-demand" field, as I've been contacted by a few schools just based off of my UNI profile and certification. Kind of funny because when I first began this journey of trying to teach overseas, I thought I would have to stop being a librarian/media specialist and go back to classroom teaching. Now it looks like I might have more of a chance to get a librarian position than a classroom one.
