These are the stats I will have when I hit the job market. Please advise whether this is hopeless. I have three kids.
-certification for elementary school
-two years U.S. experience
-non-teaching spouse, native (and citizen) of China
-only want to teach in China. Some flexibility as to provinces/cities.
-twins just about ready for kindergarten, U.S., would need to attend the international school
-11-year-old, citizen of China, could possibly attend a local school due to fluency in Chinese
-Willing to handle some of airfare costs ourselves
Any chance of getting a job?
I assume you are currently in the states. If so how will your wife's residency status in the States be impacted by moving to China? Three kids makes it really difficult with a teaching couple, not impossible but definitely difficult, but with 4 dependents you will be limited. QSI might like you and they have numerous schools in China.

Some ideas:
I would apply to every single International School in China: If you do not have any memberships to Search Associates, etc., then go to the IBO website and click to look at all their list of schools in China. Apply to every single one. Then just Google international schools in China and apply to all of them. That will be a lot of work, try to tailor your emails individually, at least the 'Dear ....' part. If you have any IB experience put that in. If not, register for an online course at IBO. org, they last about 6 weeks and cost 300 British pounds, they should make you more marketable than a Master's degree. If your wife is interested in teaching stay in the US and get her certified. If you are a teaching couple that will more than quadruple your chances of getting a job and getting a really good job(s).

Thank you for your thoughts, Overhere and Open Communication. Very helpful.
To answer the question about my wife's residency: That is an excellent point and one I still continue to consider. My understanding as of right now is that she could apply for a "re-entry permit" that would allow her to be away for two years. Then, if needed, she could return to the U.S. and apply for another one. Nor guarantees that it would be approved, but my understanding is that many people get such permits several times in a row.
