IB: Questionable business and other practices

I have worked at many IB schools during my career. Over the years I've seen and heard of questionable practices and incidences of lack of professionalism involving the IB. Has anyone else had any such experiences with the IB and can anyone share any tips that schools, administration and teachers may use to avoid and/or resolve them?

Is there lack of professionalism on the side of the school implementing the IB, or is it the IB itself where you see this lack of professionalism?
And can you give examples of the questionable practices and incidences of lack of professionalism involving the IB that you've seen?
In my experience the fault usually lies with the schools (no complaints about my last schools though), but I can only speak for the Diploma Programme and for the schools I've worked at.

Two issues, first the IB is a club, theyre a member driven organization including oversight. While there is an inspectorate (technically in the office of general counsel), IS visit teams and leads, PFRs and other members of the QAF, they are all outside ITs leadership, consultants, etc. that are or were attached to ISs/DSs. Theyre part of a club and their IBEN roles isnt their job. Second, understand that the IB is a program provider, one with considerable ethos and strategy to it but they market a curriculum (and assessment program) but they arent a chain IS, and they dont sell ISs themselves. A lot of what may be considered professional issues simply doesnt involve the IB curriculum.
