Regular Ed/Special Ed Certs does it really matter?

I am a SPED teacher hoping to teach abroad next school year. I have been given mixed messages about the flexability of certification overseas. I hold certificates in Elementary and Secondary with an LBS1 endorsement. Here's my concern: can I apply to teach in a regular Elementary classroom? I have a BA in English and several years teaching High School English but I am not endorsed in Secondary English. Will I have a problem teaching abroad? Sorry for the long question, I just really need some advice on how to approach my situation before attending the 2010 job fairs? Thank you.
