Hi,
I am in the process of finding my wife a good online teaching course. Does anybody know of any available? She already holds a degree, so is looking to do a one-year teacher certification online.
Please let me know if you are aware of any particular universities that offer this.
Many thanks!

Certification
Is one of the goals to get a US teaching certificate out of it?

Here are two
Western Governor's:

and Rio Salado:

Here's a comment about Rio:
"When we were researching our book, "Bears' Guide to the Best Education Degrees by Distance Learning," we were very impressed by the programs and outreach of Rio Salado College in Arizona. They were (and are) making a major outreach to offer on-line credentialing (along with student teaching which they can arrange almost anywhere in the world). We've had a lot of positive feedback from readers . . . one just last week from a American in Bangaluru (formerly Bangalore) India, who was very pleased with the process. The school arranged practice teaching at a Canadian-run high school in Bangaluru. New online classes start every week.

I didn't go to either though, and I'd really make sure they offer the ability to obtain a certificate. The school obviously won't be issuing the certificate, the state will- or at least that's my understanding. Getting a state to offer a certificate, and passing any required certification testing would seem to be the challenge.

Western Governors
I'm thinking of working overseas and I wanted to check into this first. I've been looking at some Master's degrees by Western Governors. They told me it wouldn't be possible for me to get the degree overseas unless I was military. It had something to do with their test taking policies. (You need a proctor)
