30-35k US. 15% tax.

I worked at this school for two years. I don't remember my overall salary but I do know I had about $1500 US a month net. However, it is a LOT more expensive to live in Kampala than they would have you believe. I didn't save anything and certainly had to watch what I spent.

MANY ISs overstate and estimate their saving potential. ISs typically ignore initial savings in the first two years and base their reports on long term faculty staff that has assimilated into the community and have adapted to living on the economy. Though much depends on the individual and their financial disposition for an arriving IT.
