Can anyone speak to what the morale is currently like at this school? The last post on ISR had mentioned that the school board is causing tension with salary cuts proposed for the upcoming year. Wondering if it is worth applying to the school? I like to work in a positive work environment.

Word on the street is no airfare and teachers have to pay taxes. Hate it when the board acts like the school is a business.

If the taxes part is true, the school will suffer big time. Filing taxes in Hungary is a bureaucratic nightmare.

Morale is not good at AISB. They are now only doing flights every two years and reducing the number of dependants that can attend the school. The board is not pro-teacher and further cuts are expected. They do have a new director coming in next year. Might be a change for the better but the board did hire him. There is no change to the tax policy at the school. It is still a tax free salary and will be for the time being.
