Hi-
I have put out a couple CV's and nothing.
I have seen on here that a few people have already managed to get interviews. So, for those of you that have, congratulations! And a few questions.
1. Are you applying as a single or a couple?
2. What geographic region are the schools that are interviewing located in?
3. Do you teach a hard to fill subject area?
Thanks!

My colleague had an initial interview last week. They applied as a couple. Both are high need areas. It was a tier 1 school in the region it is located. They have former colleagues who work at the place they interviewed.
I also know my boss had a phone/Skype interview with a couple this past week. At least one was in a high need area.
I think it is early unless one is in a high need area and/or experienced with connections.
Most schools don't know all their openings yet. Don't panic yet.

The IS recruitment process is about numbers. Schools arent going to jump all over you just because your a westerner and have a certificate.
Its really early in the recruitment process, only the top candidates are being recruited right now.
